Proudly farmer-owned
Farm Generations is a multi-stakeholder cooperative. Our farmer-sellers own 90% of the co-op and our employees own 10%. Community investors also support our growth through non-voting preferred shares. We formed a co-op because too many tech companies profit at farms’ expense, so farmers control ours.
Why a co-op
Technology that works for farmers
After seeing farm after farm contend with tech companies working against their interests, our farmer co-founders decided that a new direction was necessary. Following in the footsteps of farmers, workers, and disenfranchised people across the globe, we incorporated Farm Generations Cooperative as a new and strong foundation for the future of small farms.
Our goal is technology that serves the farm community for the long run, where farmers have a voice in the systems they rely on every day.
What owning your software gets you
10% off GrownBy
Co-op members receive 10% off all paid plans, on top of the 10% annual discount.
A vote on the board
Join the Board of Directors. The board is, and always will be, majority controlled by farmer-members elected by other farmer-members.
Financial equity
Build equity based on your use of GrownBy. When the co-op is profitable, members benefit from annual cash dividends.

Sell on GrownBy
Be a current farmer or seller on GrownBy. One membership per farm.

Sign the member agreement
Member-owners agree to the cooperative’s member agreement.

Buy your $250 USD / $350 CAD share
Your share makes you a member-owner with a vote and a stake in the co-op.
Own the software your farm runs on.
