What it is and where it goes
Farm Generations charges 2% on credit card and ACH transactions on GrownBy. It funds the operations of the cooperative your farm can own. You can pass it to customers at checkout. There’s no co‑op fee on Register, cash, or offline payments.
Credit card processing partners
Choose Stripe or Fortis for card payments, and Worldpay or Forage for SNAP EBT. Each processor charges its own rates on each sale, and GrownBy adds a 2% co-op fee on card and ACH payments.

How much does GrownBy cost?
GrownBy starts at $0/month with no setup fee. Paid plans run from $30/month (Offline) to $130/month (Plus with Custom CSA). The CSA plan is $50/month, or $540/year when you pay annually, which saves 10%. Co-op members save another 10% on every paid plan, and every paid plan starts with a 30-day free trial.
Does GrownBy charge a setup fee?
No. There is no setup fee on any GrownBy plan. You can start on GrownBy Free and move to a paid plan when you need CSA, wholesale, or register tools.
What is the GrownBy co-op fee?
A 2% fee on credit card and ACH transactions that funds the operations of the cooperative your farm can own. You can pass it to customers at checkout as an optional or required contribution; in 2024, 60% of GrownBy customers chose to cover all fees. There is no co-op fee on GrownBy Register, cash, or offline payments.
What are GrownBy's card processing fees?
You choose Stripe or Fortis. Stripe: 2.9% + $0.30 per online card payment, 2.9% + $0.15 in person, 1% (up to $5) for ACH, and no monthly fee. Fortis: 2.75% + $0.20 online, 2.6% + $0.10 in person, $0.10 per in-person SNAP/EBT transaction, and a $6/month account fee. Each processor charges its own rates, and GrownBy adds the 2% co-op fee on card and ACH payments.
Is GrownBy cheaper than Barn2Door or Local Line?

Can I change plans later?
Yes. Plans have no usage limits, so you can move between them as your farm changes. Every paid plan starts with a 30-day free trial.
