Can farms accept SNAP online?
Yes. Farms authorized by USDA FNS can accept SNAP EBT for online orders through GrownBy. GrownBy was the first platform to offer SNAP Online for farmers.
How much does SNAP Online cost on GrownBy?
Nothing. SNAP Online is free on every GrownBy plan, including GrownBy Free, with no setup or monthly fee. SNAP EBT payments are processed through our partners Worldpay or Forage.
How do I get authorized to accept SNAP?
Your farm must be authorized by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) before it can accept SNAP. Our team guides you through the certification process, or helps you switch over from your current provider.
Can SNAP customers buy CSA shares?
Yes. SNAP can be used to buy CSA shares online on GrownBy.
Can SNAP be used at the farmers market?
Yes. GrownBy Register accepts SNAP/EBT in person at farm stands and markets for FNS-authorized farms, for $0.10 per transaction through Fortis.

Yes. Food hubs can offer SNAP Online on GrownBy too, bringing local food to more families in their region.
What can be bought with SNAP?
SNAP covers food for the household, including produce, meat, dairy, eggs, and bread, as well as seeds and plants that grow food. It cannot be used for hot prepared foods or non-food items.
