As 2024 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on this incredible journey we've shared over the past twelve months.
We are incredibly grateful to our farmers, shoppers, members, business team, and software engineers — thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you! 2024 was a fruitful year, and together, we’ve made a meaningful impact on dinner tables and communities across the country.
As a farmer-owned and operated cooperative that strives to support our farmers first, we dedicate our time and energy to support local food economies, and we are constantly improving our services and adding new features to the GrownBy app to meet the needs of farms across America and exceed expectations.

Since GrownBy's launch in 2020, we’ve helped over 900 farmers in all 50 states (plus D.C. and Puerto Rico, and now Canada!) deliver farm fresh foods to more dinner tables. In 2024, we continued to dedicate our work to strengthening local food economies and our impact has extended far beyond selling food from the farm.
We’ve collaborated with a number of organizations and nonprofits, nearly tripled our cooperative’s membership, and continue to put our farmers first with innovative app updates, educational workshops, and deep collaboration on the future of our company and product.

Nearly 20K Shoppers
Our farmers have served nearly 20K shoppers coast to coast.
Over 21K Orders
GrownBy has helped fulfill over 21K orders, selling 537 CSA shares and over 4.2K other farm products! Interactive map updates in GrownBy 3.7.2 makes it easier than ever to discover local farms.
26K+ Transactions
GrownBy has authorized 26,853 credit card and ACH transactions — the latter of which were introduced in 2024 to make farm fresh food more even accessible to more people. Learn how to use ACH payments on your GrownBy account.
Nearly 84K Pickups
GrownBy completed 83,560 pickups and over 6K deliveries in 2024. We made it even easier to get farm-fresh products from field to fridge with new shipping features in GrownBy 3.7. Learn how to set up shipping & delivery in GrownBy.
60% of Transaction Fees are Free
60% of customers have covered 100% of GrownBy fees, making our platform free for farmers who enabled GrownBy to allow customers to optionally cover co-op and transaction fees. Learn more about GrownBy's transparent and affordable pricing.
Farm Generations Co-op Tripled in Size
Farm Generations Cooperative nearly tripled in size in 2024. We also opened co-op membership to GrownBy employees, and we are remain the first (and currently only) farmer and employee owned cooperative!
2024 Projects & Collaborations
GrownBy launched custom CSA shares & a box builder.
GrownBy now supports customizable CSA shares and a box builder so that farmers can offer highly curated share selections based on customer preferences, past orders, and real-time inventory utilizing an algorithm that adapt to customer's individual preferences over time.
Funded by the USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program, Farm Generations Coop worked with GrowNYC and JustFood to release a detailed survey report and e-book.
As part of a larger initiative, Farm Generations Coop released a detailed survey report and educational farmer handbook developed through a USDA funded grant under the Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP).
This extensive project represents a collaborative effort to understand and nurture CSAs and urban-rural relationships in New York City and beyond. You can download the survey report and farmer handbook for free.
An ongoing collaboration with the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) will streamline and increase locally sourced ingredients in institutions across the country.
Farm Generations Cooperative received a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant to work with the esteemed Culinary Institute of America (CIA) to help connect the college to a wider array of local farmers and food purveyors and increase locally sourced ingredients in institutions across the country as part of the agency’s Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP).
The GrownBy team is working closely with CIA staff and faculty alongside local farmers in the Hudson Valley to build a better wholesale platform that will simplify sourcing local ingredients for growers and buyers alike. Join us on our journey as we cook up a replicable recipe for other institutions, farmers, and chefs to follow.
