As 2026 begins, we wanted to highlight key findings from last year's top 100 grossing farms on GrownBy. As we compiled this research for specific values, it became apparent that some of these farms are not only thriving on GrownBy but also making a positive impact in their local communities as cultural or educational resources.

We used metrics based on GrownBy storefronts and individual farm websites to determine the top 100 grossing farms on the platform. However, this list may be limited by factors such as the availability and completeness of storefront information, as well as discrepancies between online and offline sales totals. Although the accuracy may fluctuate beyond our initial findings, the list still offers valuable insights into the overlapping sustainability practices being implemented at farms on GrownBy.

How many of GrownBy's top 100 farms are certified organic?

Of the top 100 farms on GrownBy, 25 are Certified Organic. While the other 75 farms are not officially certified organic, many of them still follow organic principles and prioritize sustainable farming practices.

Is being USDA-certified Organic important?

Becoming Certified Organic can be a challenging and costly process for smaller farms. Despite that barrier, the majority of farms on GrownBy are committed to responsible, sustainable farming that follows the same guidelines as their Organic certified counterparts. It's important to remember that organic certification is not the only way to define whether or not a farm is trustworthy; farmers on GrownBy take pride in growing food that’s healthy for their shoppers, their families, and the environment.
